Day 71 – You Can’t Please God Without Faith

‘But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.’ Hebrews 11:6

What God is looking for from you is an attitude and a stand point of absolute trust in Him. God is pleased as you walk with Him in total trust. When God looks down and sees your expectation of the miraculous in your life despite the obstacles in your life he is pleased. Hebrews 10:38 says ‘but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.’ Your commitment to God as far as believing that ‘whatever He says He will do, He will do’ is very important. God is pleased seeing His people stand on His word in spite of negative situations.

Imagine you are a parent who has given your word to your child that you will do something. If your child starts nagging you with an indication that he or she doubt your promise, is it not insulting? How much worse if the child runs to someone else asking for the same thing with an explanation or implication that you might not do it, yet you have the power to do it? I am sure you would not be happy with that scenario.

The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. Without your absolute trust in the capacity of God to do what He says, it is impossible for you to please Him. When you walk by faith you will also live a holy life. Remember, your God is reliable.

Day 70 – By Faith We Understand

‘Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.’ Hebrews 11:3

Genesis declared the world being framed by the word of God; Psalms 33:6 says: ‘By the word of the Lord were the heavens made.’ It is only by faith can your mind comprehend that all of the heavens and the earth was created by the word of God. This is the faith needed in this moment. For instance the word of God says in 1 Peter 2:24: ‘by [Jesus’s] stripes you were healed.’ So we know that Jesus has paid the price for your sickness and sin on the cross, so you can stand on the word of God that declares you are healed even when the pain still lingers; this is faith. By faith you understand the word of God that says you are healed, means you truly are healed.

When someone asks you how you can be so confident when all seems against you, you reply that you believe that when you pray God answers your prayers. You understand that what God is doing in your situation may not have physical proof or explanation but you believe in your heart because the word of God says so; this will become your faith testimony.

Living by faith declare that you understand what God has said simply because you believe it in your heart. What you say must be determined by what the word of God says. You base your understanding not on the world view but on the word of God; this is faith. May God bless your day as you stand on His word, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 69 – Elders Obtain a Good Report by Faith

For by [faith] the elders obtained a good report. Hebrews 11:2

To obtain a good report, the elders lived by faith. Hebrews 11:4 says:

By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

Hebrews 11:7 says:

By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

You can only live a successful life when you walk with God in faith. When you understand what God has instructed in His word is correct; what he has said we should not do, we should not do; when the whole world is saying something else and you are upholding the truth of the word of God. If you would have faith and make your life a living sacrifice to God, living in a manner pleasing to Him every day, even though all the world is saying otherwise, that is faith.

The end of the world is coming close, do not follow the crowd, maintain your stance in the righteousness of God. May God bless you and have a fruitful day in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 68 – Faith

‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.’ Hebrew 11:1

Simply put, Faith is believing that what God said in His word, He is well able to fulfill it. Faith is believing without any physical proof. Believing God for the impossible, for wonders to happen in your life without seeing any physical evidence. Faith is needed to overcome every challenge in life. 1 John 5:4 says: for whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. The man or woman of faith will make declarations in line with the promises they have found in the word of God, in spite of what they feel, in spite of what they see, and in spite of what they hear. Faith is believing for what you have requested from God after you have seen it in the Word; and maintaining your confession, whatever your physical experience may be indicating. The man of faith is able to wait for God’s intervention without wavering – no matter how long!

I challenge you today, ‘Live by faith alone’! Bible says, it is the substance of your hope. Your faith in God and His word is the evidence you have that your desired breakthrough will manifest. Don’t lose it, whatever your situation! Let your testimony remain constant through every of your life experiences. Keep declaring what you have believed God for. God will not fail you. May the fruit of your faith manifest for you speedily; may your expectation not be cut off, in Jesus’ name. Amen. Have a great day.

Day 67 – May The Lord Send You Help

1The Lord hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; 2Send thee help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion;

Psalms 20:1-2

Although life is full of different challenges, the greatest thing that causes hopelessness and desperation in the midst of trouble is the feel of helplessness and the sense of loneliness. Most men are able to withstand pressure and confront the enemy more courageously with the comrade spirit. David said again in Psalms 23, ‘the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me’ (verses 1&4). He had confidence in the sense of God’s leaderships and help. You and I should face life with this kind of confidence. You are not alone!

Go out, confront the day with the confidence that the Lord is with you and that by Him you will overcome every challenge. In times of trouble, look to the Lord, cry to him, and he will hear and send you help. May God sustains you today in Jesus’ name. May you experience divine help. May the wind of heaven blow away every obstacle in your path. May the rest that heaven alone gives be yours. May the peace of God be yours. I pray that your day will be fruitful, and joyful in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 66 – God Giveth Me Strength

32 It is God that girdeth me with strength, and maketh my way perfect. 33 He maketh my feet like hinds’ [deer’s] feet, and setteth me upon my high places. 34 He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. Psalms 18:32-34

The feet of a deer has strength on the rear side to help them in leaping. The ability to leap gives speed advantage. It enables the deer to navigate rough terrain and also to escape from the enemies that are trying to catch up to them.  So, this scripture describes how the Lord is giving you the needed speed and strength to overcome your enemies, and leap to a place of victory, safety, defense and promotion.

He teacheth my hands to war, so that a bow of steel is broken by mine arms. This is a truly interesting verse of scripture. When God teaches you in battle, you will be able to ‘easily break the steel’ or ‘excellently bend the bow’. This talks of strength and strategy in battle. You can call it divine wisdom and capacity for breakthrough.

As you face your day today may you experience the enablement of God in every area of your life and endeavor. Draw from your union with God by faith and enjoy the hinds’ feet He gives as He guides you to safety with strength and as He perfects your ways. Verse 36 says: Thou hast enlarged my steps under me, that my feet did not slip. May God give you enlargement, balanced, security and stability in all areas of your life. Go, and be blessed today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 65 – The Lord Heard Me

In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Then the earth shook and trembled; the foundations also of the hills moved and were shaken, because he was worth. Psalms 18:6-7

He brought me forth also into a large place; he delivered me, because he delighted in me.

Psalms 18:19

These verses describes the events that took place when David was in the run because of Saul. The first thing we can notice is that David cried out to the Lord in this distress. Secondly, when he cried out, God heard him! Thirdly, we see the result – the earth shook! Whenever God hears the cries of His children in distress, He arises to do something. When God arise, ‘His enemies will be scattered’ (Psalms 68:1). When He arises into His resting place, ‘He is clothed with salvation, and His saints usually rejoice in goodness’ (2 Chronicles 6:40-41). In today’s scripture, we would notice that when God arose on David’s behalf: first, he was brought up out of his distress, and second he was established in a large place (Psalms 18:19).

Notice also the foundation to this whole account: ‘he delivered me, because he delighted in me’. Good News Translation puts it this way ‘He helped me out of danger; he saved me because he was pleased with me’. God will always help you out, simply because He delights in you. I pray that God would bring you to your large and peaceful place, in Jesus name. Amen.

Day 64 – The Lord is My Rock

1I will love thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies. Psalms 18:1-3

The psalmist began in this verse by declaring his love for the Lord who is his strength. ‘I will love thee, O Lord, my strength.’ He went ahead in verse two to describing the source of the strength he derives from God. The Lord is ‘his rock, his fortress, and his deliverer’. As I read these verses, it brought me much encouragement because this is the description of who God is to me; and this is who He is to you too!  He will grant you stability, He will grant you defense, and He will bring you the deliverance that you need. God is truly your strength, and you need to believe this! The word ‘buckler’ describes a round weapon carried or worn on the left arm as a shield during war. God is both your strength and your shield! You can depend on Him in every situation.

Verse three then says, ‘I will call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, so shall I be saved from my enemies’. The psalmist did not only know God as his rock and shield, but he has learnt to call on God when he is in trouble. When you find yourself in any trouble, call upon the Lord. He promises to arise on your behalf, fight for you and defend you. No situation is too late nor too strong for God to help you out of. May the Lord grant you success this week, and may you sing the song of victory, in Jesus’ name. Go well as you face your day. Amen.

Day 63 – Live by Faith

37 For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. 38 Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. Hebrews 10:37-38

‘For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry.’ The coming of the Lord is imminent. The times we live in are difficult times. In Isaiah 60 the Bible describes this time as characterised by ‘darkness [that] cover the earth, and gross darkness the people’. For a believer however this is the time to shine; for the Glory of God to show upon you.

‘Now the just shall live by faith…’ This is the time for you to live by faith. Faith in what the Lord God has said about you. To live by faith you need to be established in your heart on what the word has to say about the current situation. Think, and meditate on them accept them and build your faith on them. Declare your faith by releasing the word of God on your situation. Psalms 103:20 says that ‘Bless the Lord, ye his angels, [who] excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word.’ Angels hearken to the voice of the word of God. You therefore need to release that word in faith through your voice and the Angels will be alert to execute them.

Don’t give up nor be discouraged in any season of your life; declare the word of God concerning it, stand on the Word. ‘He that shall come will come, and will not tarry’! Stay blessed.

Day 62 – Your Mourning is Ended

Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended. Isaiah 60:20

I pray for you, in the name of Jesus, today will be the end of all your mourning and sorrow. As Moses said to the Israelites in Exodus 14:13 that ‘…the Egyptians you see today you will never see again.’ Today, may all your struggles and strain and all the pain you go through come to an end, in the name of Jesus. I declare; you will never see your Egyptians ever again.

Thy sun shall no more go down’ I declare concerning you that the promotion and lifting of God over your life is not temporary but permanent, in Jesus name. The Lord will be your everlasting light in eternity, yes, but here on earth, I pray that you experience Him as such too. May ‘your world’ experience perpetual growth, sustainability, and increase as the Lord takes His place as your everlasting light, in Jesus name. May your struggles end today. Go and be blessed in Jesus name, Amen.
