Day 80 – At Your Word

When He had stopped speaking, He said to Simon, “Launch out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch.” But Simon answered and said to Him, “Master, we have toiled all night and caught nothing; nevertheless at Your word I will let down the net.” Luke 5:4-5 (NKJV)

It does not matter how much you have toiled, or how much effort you have put into a venture that does not seem to produce any profit. If the Lord is giving you a word to go once more into it, or giving you a direction to go at any particular point in your life, do as Simon did, respond. No matter how your night was, or how your yesterday was like, today is a new day! Let a fresh hope arise in your spirit. Jesus is appearing today and saying to you: ‘I will give you a fresh start’. Do not start looking for, or replaying in your mind, all your past negative experiences. Just believe Him!

The crippled man at the pool of Bethsaida was waiting for a man to help him – he had waited for thirty eight disappointing year! He knew no man to help him – until Jesus came by! Don’t start wondering if you have enough human connection to bail you out of your current situation; believe the word of the Lord to you and respond to Him in faith.

Where you have failed before, God’s word to you right now is ‘launch out unto the deep and let down your net for a catch’. Act in faith and obedience, and you will see the manifestation of the Lord. Today will bring you outstanding success. Amen.

79 Day – Don’t Be Afraid

25Be not afraid of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. 26For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken. Proverbs 3:25-26

‘…attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings… for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.’ Proverbs 4:20-22

Everything that has to do with life and all you need to successfully deal with life’s challenges is found in the word of God. You might wonder what is meant in the scripture by ‘Be not afraid of sudden fear’. When this scripture gains ground in your heart, becomes part of you, and your mind-set is ordered according to this scripture; when you meet a sudden fear in life the first thing that will come to mind is that as a child of God you should not be afraid. This is what is meant by the statement ‘they that find the word of God find life. Because you have discovered this passage and imbibed it into your heart, when the calamities come fear will not grip you.

The same thing goes for Psalms 56:9 (and in fact all scripture!) When you sense an attack of the enemy, “when I cry unto thee, then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me” comes to mind. With this scripture, you approach the throne of God confident of a solution. This is how to live by the word of God. Living above fear even in the midst of life’s battles. May God bless you, may you find understanding as you study the word of God and apply in into your life. Amen.

Day 78 – Attend to My Words

20My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings. 21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart. 22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. Proverbs 4:20-22

If you want to live a life of faith you have to invest time in the study, meditation, and the practice of the word of God. The word of God is all you need. You and I need to give priority to its study and meditation, and agree completely with what it says; our stands point being the standpoint of the word of God. ‘For they are life unto those that find them…’ Those that find the word of God are those that get the understanding of the word of God; those that have discovered the truth about life in the word of God.

These people will find the way to the best of all of life’s issues. , ‘…and health to all their flesh’; they will find healing and health. All the good things in life and solutions to troubles in life are in God’s word. ‘Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.’ Keep the word in your heart don’t let go of it.

Getting understanding and revelation that will help you to get the best out of life does not just happen. Determine to invest as much time as is required in the study of the word. Take the word of God and deliberately plant it into your spirit on a daily basis, and you will receive the light you need for your next flight. May God bless you as you walk in the wisdom.

Day 77 – Looking Unto Jesus

1Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. 3For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.

Hebrews 12:1-3

Let us not be weary or faint in our minds. Let nothing be so discouraging to you such that your mind will fail. In Luke 22:32 Jesus says onto Simon “But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not” I pray this prayer for you too that your faith will not fail.

There are many examples in the scriptures of people who lived by faith. Joseph made plans for his bones when he died being so sure that God will visit the people of Israel; the harlot Rahab decided to follow Jesus and join the Israelites as opposed to the enemy because she believed the spies.

It does not matter what state you are in right now, do not consider the situations around you, consider only Jesus who gave His life for you, Do not let your commitment to Jesus fail. Let your faith be strong, expect your miracle, no matter how long it takes before it come to pass. Keep your eyes on His promises. God is forever faithful.

Day 76– Rahab Did Not Perish

‘By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace.’ Hebrews 11:31

Rahab the harlot was saved; but not only that, her family was saved too. If you have missed the mark, perhaps there is a certain sin in your life and you seem not to know where you belong; if you would rekindle and declare again your faith in God, not only will you see the manifestation of Gods faithfulness to save sinners and to forgive sins, you will also receive manifestation of your faith in the promises of God. God’s faithfulness will cause you to turn to him out of your sinful habits.

If you want to accept Jesus Christ into your life today as your personal Lord and saviour, or if you would like to rededicate your life to Him, it is never too late. Your faith in the saving power of the Lord through the blood of Jesus Christ will make you receive salvation even though you think you are so bad. If God can save the harlot, God can save you. Dedicate your life anew to the Lord and be a new person from today. Forsake your sins and turn to the Lord. God is faithful to forgive.

This might not be your situation, but you might know someone that needs to be restored in fellowship to God, let’s be of help to such a person, trusting for complete restoration of fellowship back to God. No matter how far he or she has gone away, don’t give up; pray and go talk to him or her again. God’s arms are wide open to welcome back every sinner. God bless your days, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 75 – The Faith of Joseph and His Bones

‘By faith Joseph, when he died, made mention of the departing of the children of Israel; and gave commandment concerning his bones.’ Hebrews 11:22

Joseph had received the word of promise from God that God would lead the children of Israel to the promise land. At the point of his death Joseph was certain that God would be faithful to this promise, that he gave instructions of what the children of Israel were to do with his bones when that time comes. At the time of his death, Joseph had not seen any physical manifestation of the fulfilment of Gods promise, but he was so certain in his faith that he made plans for his bones.

Do you have the kind of confidence in God that Joseph had? Even at the point of death would you confess the word of God about you, your children, and your entire heritage to come? This is faith. Do not waver on the promises of God regardless of your physical condition. God is faithful to his word through all circumstances.

Face your day today and carry that attitude to your workplace. God will never fail. Declare God’s promise in the face of difficulties, and in the midst of challenges, I am sure that you will find God faithful to his word. May God bless you today and may your miracles manifest speedily in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 74 – Abraham Offered Up Isaac

17By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, 18Of whom it was said, that in Isaac shall thy seed be called: 19Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

Hebrews 11:17-19

Abraham was so committed to the faithfulness of God; he was sure that God would not deny, or disappoint him. In verse eighteen: ‘of whom it was said, that in Isaac shall thy seed be called’, God had said that through Isaac he would be a father of many nations. The question would have been; how would God fulfil this promise? Verse nineteen goes on to say: ‘Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.’ He was absolutely and utterly certain in his heart that the promise God made would not fail.

Abraham offered up Isaac in faith, he trusted God. He had no doubt about Gods capacity and commitment to him. If you would live your life like that, you will not be afraid of terror or any such thing at any point in your life. As you face your day today be committed to God. Do not waver in his promises, do not change your mind about your commitment to Him. By faith give what it takes to establish the fact that you are a believer in the Lord. If your walk with God is straight, the faithfulness of God to you will be unshaken. May God bless your day and give you peace in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Day 73 – Wall of Jericho Suddenly Sank at Once!

‘By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.’ Hebrews 11:30

Every impossibility in your life will give way in the name of Jesus. It may take several days like it took seven days in the case of the walls of Jericho. The first six days (of walking quietly around the wall) were without any signs of possible breakthrough. A man of faith will persist, believing God and expecting breakthrough without any physical sign of success.

It was only on the seventh day, after they had walked around the wall for six times that they gave a loud shout on the seventh time, and the Bible says that, the walls of Jericho gave way all at once. You might be expecting God to intervene and somehow your ‘six days’ have gone by! The scriptures says: ‘By faith the walls of Jericho fell down, after they were compassed about seven days.’ You might have compassed about your troubles for a day, a week, a month, or a year; stay faithful and believe God for a change though you have waited for so long. If you keep holding on, as long as the word of God has not changed, your breakthrough will manifest all at once in Jesus’ name; live by faith and you will not be disappointed. May God bless your day, may your week be fruitful in Jesus name, Amen.

Day 72 – Strength to Conceive by Faith

‘Through faith also Sarah herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.’

Hebrews 11:11

Whatever you are believing the Lord for, you can trust him that has given you the promise to be faithful. Sarah obtained a good report because, even though at some point her faith was weak, she grew in faith and received strength to conceive.

In Genesis 17:17 Abraham laughed when the Lord promised them Isaac; in chapter 18:12 Sarah also laughed because she wondered how the miracle would happen. [They both laughed however in Hebrews 11:11 bible says Sarah received strength to conceive, and was listed among the women of faith. At this moment it might be difficult for you too to believe God for your miracle, you can take the promise of God again.

Sarah’s example is of someone that was believing for the fruit of the womb. You might be believing for a job, or healing, or perhaps like Sarah for a child, or a home, or the return of a loved one. God is able to do these things. So, let you faith grow, receive strength, and by faith you will have your own breakthrough. Lay hold on to God’s word in faith and you will receive your breakthrough.

Sarah became part of those mentioned in the ‘hall of faith’ you too can become listed there as you patiently walk with God.

Day 71 – You Can’t Please God Without Faith

‘But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.’ Hebrews 11:6

What God is looking for from you is an attitude and a stand point of absolute trust in Him. God is pleased as you walk with Him in total trust. When God looks down and sees your expectation of the miraculous in your life despite the obstacles in your life he is pleased. Hebrews 10:38 says ‘but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.’ Your commitment to God as far as believing that ‘whatever He says He will do, He will do’ is very important. God is pleased seeing His people stand on His word in spite of negative situations.

Imagine you are a parent who has given your word to your child that you will do something. If your child starts nagging you with an indication that he or she doubt your promise, is it not insulting? How much worse if the child runs to someone else asking for the same thing with an explanation or implication that you might not do it, yet you have the power to do it? I am sure you would not be happy with that scenario.

The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. Without your absolute trust in the capacity of God to do what He says, it is impossible for you to please Him. When you walk by faith you will also live a holy life. Remember, your God is reliable.
